Normally Monday’s inbox is a bleary eyed buffet of to-dos, leftovers and meeting requests. So imagine our surprise when we could ignore those things for a while and instead read the email with the subject line: CONGRATULATIONS (yep, all caps).
The kudos were the result of our Bank of the West redesign work winning the Interactive Media Association’s Outstanding Achievement award in the Banking category.

The Comrades are pretty excited about this news, and a few of us will be using the win to justify a longer than normal lunch later this week. We’d also like to thank our friends at Bank of the West, who played a major role in this successful redesign.

Officially, the first day of winter is still a couple months off, but we helped Big Rock Brewery launch their McNally’s Winter Spice Strong Ale season with a rich, new webpage.

Once again Art Director Laurence Smink teamed up with Flash Developer Michelle Murata to create a page that perfectly captures Big Rock’s artisanal spirit and commitment to the craft side of making great beer. Speaking of craft, kudos go to Laurence for the hand-crafted snowflake that adorns Big Rock’s homepage, and to Web Developer Rosemary Long for the gentle flurries that accompany it.

WaMu Live

website for WaMu with a robust
content management system.

Customers could preview WaMu-sponsored
concerts and events, and purchase tickets.

User-generated concert reviews and shared
photos from events encouraged repeat site visits.

Bank of the West told us that they wanted to increase sales and improve their customer service online. And with that, Comrade partnered with the Internet Banking Channel’s team, and consulted a multitude of internal business groups to completely redesign the Bank’s website.
The result? Bank of the West has a site optimized for effective product merchandising and Bank of the West’s customers have an online experience that matches the Bank’s award-winning in-branch customer service.

Intact Insurance finds an Inside Track for their relationships.

On the heels of a corporate renaming, Intact Insurance (formally ING), was looking for a way to re-engage their network of brokers and customer service representatives (CSRs) in their new brand. The answer was this dedicated, fun promotional website. Themed around Intact’s involvement with Canada’s National speed skating teams, we created the Inside Track microsite which allows brokers and CSRs to earn rewards, learn about Intact’s products and services and keep on top of Canada’s quest for speed skating gold.
