When the organizers of the Calgary Arab Film Festival (CAFF) were launching this exciting cultural endeavor, they came to Comrade to design their identity. The resulting logo speaks to the coming together of two cultures through the use of English and Arabic script. We are also excited to be partnering with CAFF to create the festival’s promotional materials.

For over a decade, CashEdge has been the preeminent provider of online funds transfer services to financial institutions and today, serves a majority of the nation’s largest banks. Comrade is working with CashEdge to improve user experience across its family of B2B products, and launch Popmoney, CashEdge’s innovative person-to-person payment service and first consumer-facing brand.

CBI Group required an overarching brand to anchor their investment and real estate redevelopment operations. Comrade handled the renaming, positioning and branding, as well as creating a brand convention so that any future projects would align with new look and feel. We also extended these efforts to CBI’s individual projects and produced digital campaigns, websites, investor and sales materials, and promotional events.

After learning of our work with Harrah’s Entertainment Inc., Caesars approached Comrade to create an exciting user experience for their salon, Color. Based on the salon’s design, the Comrade team created a unique navigation and design approach that was incorporated across Color’s advertising platforms.

Comrade led Conroy Ross Partners through a series of brand discussions and explorations to strategize a way to merge their two specialties – Business Advisory and Executive Search. With a solid brand in place, we continue to grow with Conroy Ross with impactful employee engagement and corporate communications.

After many successful festivals, CUFF required a standout brand identity and engaging website. Comrade was thrilled at the opportunity to work with this dynamic non-profit organization, and created a stunning website based on Calgary’s urban cityscapes.

For habitar International, a global design and architectural firm, Comrade produced a website that expressed their diverse range of impressive projects. As a result, habitar won many new business projects and is currently contracted with large architectural firm.

Comrade worked with Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc., the world’s largest provider of branded casino entertainment, to provide interactive advertising, promotions, and website development services on a number of Harrah’s initiatives that include O’Sheas Casino, Christmas in July, The Great Gift Wrap-Up and Harrah’s Corporate dining site.

Comrade was hired to help promote the Commodities, Money and Economy Conference for the University of Calgary’s business school while generating leads for ticket sales. As a result of Comrade’s strategic campaign plan the niche event was sold out and received hundreds of editorial placements.

In addition to rebranding nearly 800 collateral items for the former ING Insurance group, Comrade created an online contest for Intact employees to participate in renaming their training centre. We have also developed Inside Track, an online, speed skating-themed, interactive, broker engagement site to strengthen their relationship and introduce Intact Insurance’s products.

For the launch of Kayne’s Restaurant and Bar, Comrade worked very closely for the staff and management to produce the establishment’s logo, direct mail, menus, signage, promotional collateral and even the staff’s uniforms.

For the 2004 gold medalist in the men’s floor routine, gymnast Kyle Shewfelt’s return from injury prior to the Beijing Games presented an incredible story of commitment. Kyle asked Comrade to design a website that would present his fun-loving nature, and let him share is amazing story.

With over 13 branch locations, and total assets of approximately $1.6 billion, San Diego’s North Island Credit Union required a design template complete with a brand style guide for their website. After exceeding their expectations, Comrade was asked produce additional online promotions.

Comrade created a lively website featuring rich media for the O’Sheas Casino in Las Vegas. Utilizing video shot from a leprechaun’s perspective, users are taken through a tour of the casino, focused on the accessibility and anyone-can-play approach of O’Sheas.

As a leading biotechnology company SemBioSys Genetics, asked Comrade to create a website that allowed them to share their medical, health and beauty breakthroughs with investors, the public and the media.

To encourage business phone users to switch phone companies Comrade created the “Start the break-up” campaign, a feisty integrated campaign that pushed the start-up to the media forefront while generating business leads.

For this online designer flooring retailer, the Comrade team created custom shipping and square footage calculators as well as a shopping cart that enhanced usability. We also created digital and traditional marketing materials and product merchandising strategies to drive customers to the website.

For Stepper Homes, Comrade redesigned their website and built a comprehensive CMS system to allow the Stepper team to update information in real time. Using a focused approach we were able to design a site that will help to support the sales and marketing efforts of the company while providing useful, easy to navigate information to the consumer.

As one of the world’s largest game developers, Ubisoft Entertainment approached Comrade to create authentic online experiences and audience engagement in two of their popular franchises, Silent Hunter and Blazing Angels. Going above and beyond expectations, Comrade has received awards for both projects from W3 and Applied Arts.

To help connect Vince Neil Ink (located in the O’Sheas Casino), Comrade created an interactive, online tattoo contest where fans could upload their ink for great prizes.

For several years, Comrade supported Washington Mutual’s interactive channel providing a diverse set of micro-sites including: a promotional site for the WamuLive concert series, a Hispanic version of the corporate Web property and a merchandising site for credit card services.
