What happens when you put solar energy in a brand new light?
We created a bold site for Sungevity from the ground up, designed to generate new leads while highlighting their commitment to serving current customers. Working closely with Sungevity, we dove deep into their core values and business objectives. This helped us design a beautiful customer experience across all platforms that really turned solar power into an aspirational family lifestyle.
Reflecting multiple messages
Each of Sungevity's key objectives needed equal weight:
- Explaining the complicated mechanics and business of solar energy
- Express deep commitment to existing customers
- Seamless lead generation to create a new customer base
While at the same time we needed to create an intuitive, modern-looking, user-friendly site.
We worked with Sungevity to understand target audiences, unique no-pressure sales process. We even went into Home Depot and Lowe's to understand what real people think about solar and why they weren't adopting it.
We developed mood boards and style tiles to illustrate design concepts and HTML prototypes to show site interaction. We re-wrote the narrative of residential solar, making it easier to understand how it can change your life. And we made sure every experience translated beautifully across desktop, tablet and mobile. Going further, we designed a Sungevity Solar Basics infographic to help users follow the sun’s rays as it powers lives with sunshine.
Comrade’s care and thoroughness in uncovering the DNA of the Sungevity brand paid dividends, especially as we got to the finer details. Their commitment and ownership was priceless on such a high-profile project.— Christian Rodgers, Director of Marketing, Sungevity
